Abstract:Objective To survey the morbidity and related impact factors of metabolic syndrome (MS)of retired staffs with age more than 50 in one hospital of Binzhou city and to provide basis for intervention measures. Methods Retired staffs with age more than 50 from two integrated third-class hospitals of our city in 2014 were selected for MS survey. The related impact factors of MS were screened by using single factor Logistic regression analysis. The risk factors of MS were analyzed by multivariate analysis. Results 201 people were in survey.61 people conformed to the standard of MS and the morbidity was 30.3%.Single factor Logistic regression analysis showed that smoking, drinking, salt intake, family history of chronic diseases(hypertension, diabetic)had relation with MS,while multivariate analysis showed that moking, drinking, salt intake and obesity were the risk factors of MS of staffs with age more than 50,high-density lipoprotein and regular exercise were protective factor. Conclusion MS morbidity of retired staffs with age more than 50 in one hospital of Binzhou city is on high level. To deal with related risk factors, intervention measures should be taken to prevent disease of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
