Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of CT angiography (CTA) in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 105 patients diagnosed with intracranial aneurysms by the results of intervention surgery or craniotomy in the First Hospital of Dandong City from January to December 2019.After admission, all patients underwent CTA and three-dimensional digital subtraction angiography (3D-DSA). The diagnostic value of CTA and 3D-DSA for small intracranial aneurysms was evaluated. Results The image scores in tumor morphology display, 3D relationship, smoothness and overall evaluation of CTA-volume reproduction (VR) and 3D-DSA were higher than those of CTA-maximum density projection (MIP), with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).However, there were no significant differences between CTA-VR and 3D-DSA in the image scores of tumor morphology display, 3D relationship, smoothness and overall evaluation (P>0.05). The image score of 3D-DSA in tumor vessel display was higher than that of CTA-VR and CTA-MIP, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between CTA-VR and CTA-MIP in the image score of tumor blood vessels (P>0.05). The tumor length diameter measured by 3D-DSA was (6.19±1.73) mm, and that measured by CTA was (6.38±1.64) mm.Comparison of tumor length and diameter measured by CTA and 3D-DSA showed no statistically significant difference(P>0.05). In 105 patients, 118 aneurysms were detected by 3D-DSA, with the detection accuracy of 98.30% (116/118),and 113 aneurysms were detected by CTA, with the detection accuracy of 94.07% (111/118). There was no significant difference in the accuracy of intracranial aneurysm detection between 3D-DSA and CTA (P>0.05). Conclusion CTA is of relatively higher diagnostic accuracy for intracranial aneurysms, with higher images quality.
