Abstract:Objective To compare the diagnostic value of CT and MRI in patients with knee meniscus and articular cartilage injury. Methods A total of 78 patients suspected with meniscus and articular cartilage injuries of knee joints admitted to the Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Meizhou City from March 2017 to September 2019 were selected as the research objects. All patients underwent CT and MRI examination of the knee joint, and the results of arthroscopy were taken as the gold standard. The accuracy of CT and MRI in the diagnosis of meniscal injury and articular cartilage injury was observed, and the sensitivity and specificity of CT and MRI in the diagnosis of meniscal injury and articular cartilage injury were calculated. Results Among 78 patients,72 patients with meniscus injury and articular cartilage injury were detected by arthroscopy. The accuracy rate of MRI in meniscus injury (94.44%) was higher than that of CT (83.33%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The accuracy of MRI (95.83%) in diagnosing articular cartilage injury was higher than that of CT (86.11%),the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of MRI in the diagnosis of meniscus and articular cartilage injuries were higher than those of CT,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with meniscus and articular cartilage injury of knee joint, the sensitivity and specificity of MRI examination are higher than those of CT examination, the diagnostic accuracy of MRI examination is comparable to that of arthroscopy, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
