Clinical effect of arthroscopic debridement combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing in treatment of early and middle stage knee osteoarthritis

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical effect of arthroscopic debridement combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing in the treatment of early and middle stage knee osteoarthritis.Methods A total of 68 patients with early and mid-stage knee osteoarthritis treated in Zhuhai Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from March 2018 to May 2020 were selected as the research subjects,and they were divided into experimental group(34 cases)and the reference group(34 cases)by dice rolling.The experimental group were treated with arthroscopic debridement combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing,while the control group were treated with arthroscopic debridement.The treatment effect,knee-related function score and pain perception score before and at one month after treatment,and treatment satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The improvement and cure rate of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The knee-related function score of the experimental group at one month after treatment was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The pain perception score of the experimental group at one month after treatment was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The treatment satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Arthroscopic debridement combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing shows good results in the treatment of early and middle stage knee osteoarthritis,which can improve the knee joint function,reduce pain and increase satisfaction.
