Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of autologous platelet-rich plasma(PRP)on pain and joint function in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Methods A total of 120 patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to Jingdezhen NO.1 People′s Hospital from March 2017 to March 2019 were selected as the research objects, they were randomly divided into two groups according to double-blind method, each with 60 cases. The control group was treated with chondroitin sulfate tablets, and the observation group was treated with autologous PRP technology on the basis of the control group, all treatment for 5 weeks. The pain visual analog scale(VAS)was used to assess the degree of knee joint pain, and the knee joint and osteoarthritis score(KOOS)was used to assess the joint function. The knee joint pain degree, joint function and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After 5 weeks of treatment, the VAS scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the VAS score of the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significant differences(P<0.05);after 5 weeks of treatment, the KOOS scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the KOOS score of the observation group was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significant differences(P<0.05);during treatment, compared the total incidence rate of adverse reaction of both groups, the difference was not significant statistically(P>0.05).Conclusion Autologous PRP treatment for patients with knee osteoarthritis can effectively reduce knee pain, improve joint function, keep the safety of medication.
