Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of whole body vibration training combined with exercise therapy in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, so as to provide guidance for clinical conservative treatment.Methods A total of 32 patients with knee osteoarthritis who had received rehabilitation in Quanzhou First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from January 2018 to December 2019 were selected as study subjects.They were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, with 16 patients in each group.Both groups received conventional rehabilitation therapy, the control group was treated with exercise therapy on this basis, and the observation group was treated with whole body vibration training combined with exercise therapy.After 8 weeks of treatment, visual analogue scale (VAS) score, the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis (WOMAC) index were compared between the two groups.Results After 8 weeks of treatment, the VAS score and WOMAC index of two groups were lower than those before treatment, with statistical significance (P<0.05).After treatment, WOMAC index of observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS score between the two groups after treatment (P>0.05).Conclusion Whole body vibration training combined with exercise therapy has a good effect in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, which can significantly improve the pain and knee function of patients
