Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of intra-articular injection of Glucosamine combined with Sodium Hyaluronate in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (KOA) on knee joint function. Methods A total of 82 KOA patients treated in the Ganzhou People′s Hospital from March 2018 to March 2020 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table, with 41 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with Sodium Hyaluronate intra-articular injection, and in the observation group, participants additionally received Glucosamine treatment based on the control group.Intervention lasted six weeks in both groups. The clinical efficacy, knee joint function, pain score and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The overall response rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group with statistical significance (P<0.05).The scores of symptoms and signs, activities of daily living and maximum walking distance in the observation group after treatment were lower than those of the control group with statistical significances (P<0.05).The pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group with statistical significance (P<0.05).Compared with the two groups, there was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions (P<0.05).Conclusion Intra-articular injection of Glucosamine combined with Sodium Hyaluronate can enhance the clinical efficacy of KOA patients, facilitate the recovery of knee joint function, reduce joint pain, which is safe and reliable.
