Effect of Toubi Pill combined with acupuncture on cervical spondylotic radiculopathy

Abstract:Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Toubi Pill combined with acupuncture in patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy.Methods A total of 62 patients with cervical spondylotic radiculopathy who were admitted to the Acupuncture and Moxibustion Department of Foshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January to September 2019 were selected as the research objects.According to the treatment methods,they were divided into the control group(31 cases)and the observation group(31 cases).The control group were treated with western medicine,the observation group were treated with Toubi Pill combined with acupuncture,7 d as one course of treatment,both groups were treated with 2 courses of treatment,followed up for 6 months.The clinical efficacy after treatment,recurrence rate and adverse reaction rate after 6 months follow-up were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the clinical efficacy of observation group was 90.32% higher than that of control group(64.52%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After follow-up for 6 months,the recurrence rate and the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the treatment of cervical traction combined with Indomethacin entericcoated tablets,the effect of Toubi Pill combined with acupuncture in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy is better,with low recurrence rate,few adverse reactions,safe and effective,and worthy of clinical promotion.
