Influence of electroencephalograph biofeedback therapy combined with rehabilitation training on motor function and brain function in children with spastic cerebral palsy

Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of electroencephalograph (EEG) biofeedback therapy combined with rehabilitation training on motor function and brain function in children with spastic cerebral palsy.Methods Sixty-six children with spastic cerebral palsy who were admitted to our hospital from November 2016 to December 2017 were enrolled as subjects,they were divided into experimental group and control group by random number table method,with 33 cases in each group.The control group received rehabilitation training,the experimental group performed EEG biofeedback therapy on the basis of control group.Balance function,spasticity,intelligence and motor function (standing and walking function of D and E functional areas) were compared between the two groups before and after 3 months of treatment.Results There were no significant differences in the Berg balance scale (BBS) and comprehensive sputum scale (CSS) scores between the two groups before treatment (P>0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the BBS scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the CSS scores were lower than before treatment,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the BBS score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,and the CSS score was lower than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the intelligence score between the two groups before intervention (P>0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the intelligence scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05),the intelligence score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in standing and walking function scores of D and E functional areas between the two groups (P>0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the standing and walking function scores of D and E functional areas of the two groups were higher than those before treatment,and the standing and walking function scores of D and E functional areas of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion EEG biofeedback therapy combined with rehabilitation training has a good effect on children with spastic cerebral palsy,it can significantly improve the motor function and brain function of children.It is the gospel of the family of millions of children with cerebral palsy.
