Abstract:[Abstract]Objective To explore the effect of scalp acupuncture therapy on recovery of motor function in patients with stroke. Methods A total of 78 stroke patients with motor dysfunction admitted to Shenyang Hunhe New Town Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from January to December 2016 were selected as the study subjects.According to the computer sorting method, the patients were divided into control group(40 cases)and observation group(38 cases). The control group was treated with exercise therapy, while the observation group was treated with scalp acupuncture on the basis of exercise therapy. The limb function score and daily living ability score before after treatment were compared between the two groups. The incidence of falls at the 2ndand 6thweeks of treatment were recorded in the two groups. Results There were no significant difference in the scores of limb function and daily living ability between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The scores of limb function and daily living ability in the two groups at the 2ndand 6thweeks of treatment were higher than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of limb function and daily living ability in the observation group at the 6th week of treatment were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).All patients in the control group fell 7 times at the 2ndweek of treatment and 18 times at the 6thweek of treatment. All patients in the observation group fell 8 times at the 2ndweek of treatment and 12 times at the 6thweek of treatment. In the observation group, the number of falls at the 6thweek of treatment decreased compared with the control group. Conclusion Scalp acupuncture can improve the recovery of motor function in stroke patients, and the number of falls reduces after the treatment of scalp acupuncture.
