Clinical study of acupuncture and moxibustion combined with intermittent urinary catheterization in the treatment of urinary dysfunction in stroke patients

Abstract:Objective To analyze the improvement of urinary dysfunction in patients with stroke by acupuncture and moxibustion combined with intermittent urinary catheterization.Methods Sixty patients with stroke admitted to our hospital from February 2017 to May 2018 were selected as the research objects,they were randomly divided into control group(30 cases)and observation group(30 cases).The control group was treated with indwelling catheter,while the observation group was treated with acupuncture and moxibustion combined with intermittent urinary catheterization.The remission time of symptoms,residual urine volume,daily living ability score,positive and negative detection of Urinary Routine leukocytes were compared between the two groups.Results The remission time of symptoms in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,and the residual urine volume was less than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The daily living ability score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The positive rate of leucocyte in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture and moxibustion combined with intermittent urinary catheterization can effectively improve the condition of voiding disorder,which is worthy of further promotion.
