Abstract：Objective To study the influence factors of the quality of life and depression in patients with androgenic alopecia and alopecia areata and its relativity.Methods A total of 213 patients with androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata treated in our hospital from September 2015 to October 2017 were selected as study objects.The quality of life and depression of patients were evaluated by the dermatology life quality index and Center For Epidemiologic Studies depression scale.Results A total of 213 questionnaires were collected and 213 valid questionnaires were actually recovered.The average score of quality of life index in patients with androgenetic alopecia was(8.77±5.23)scores and the average score of quality of life index in patients with alopecia areata was(9.38±5.49)scores.The average score of quality of life index in all patients was(9.12±5.41)scores.There was no significant difference in the average score of quality of life index in patients with different types hair loss(P＞0.05).The average score of depression scale in patients with androgenetic alopecia was(14.87±9.81)points.The depression scale of androgenetic alopecia patients were averaged(14.87±9.81)scores,and the average score of depression scale in patients with androgenetic alopecia were(14.50±10.31)scores.The average score of depression scale in all patients was(14.79±10.12)scores.There was no significant difference in the average score of depression scale in patients with different types hair loss(P＞0.05).There was no significant difference in the life quality index of patients with different sex,age group,education level and number of visits(P＞0.05).There was no significant difference in the score of depression scale of patients with different sex,age group and education level(P＞0.05),and there was significant difference in the depression scale of patients with different visits(P＜0.05).The quality of life index of the two types of hair loss patients was positively correlated with the depression scale score(r=0.24,P=0.008;r=0.26,P=0.006).Conclusion Androgenetic alopecia and alopecia areata will have moderate and severe influences on the quality of life of most patients,and may cause different degree of depression.
