Abstract：Objective To know the cognition and attitude of Zhengzhou citizens based on euthanasia,and provide reference for the policies about for euthanasia.Methods A self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the euthanasia in four districts of Zhengzhou from April to October in 2016.Results A total of 700 questionnaires were investigated for euthanasia,and 692 valid questionnaires were collected.50.43%of them approved euthanasia,and 86.6%of them had a certain understanding of euthanasia.On the cognition and attitude of euthanasia,there were significant differences among different occupations,educational backgrounds and age groups(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between genders(P>0.05).Conclusion The citizens in Zhengzhou have high awareness of euthanasia in general and the proportion of euthanasia is relatively high.Most people are cautious about the implementation of euthanasia.
