Abstract:Objective To analyze the morbidity and related influence factors in long-stay schizophrenia patients complicated with chronic cardiovascular diseases.Methods A total of 405 long-stay schizophrenia patients from January 2015 to December 2017 treated in four general wards of our hospital were selected as the subjects.The morbidity of chronic cardiovascular diseases was counted.The medication conditions of the anti-psychotics as well as the body weight and blood pressure were observed.Results For 405 cases,there were 129 cases complicated with chronic cardiovascular diseases(31.85%),including 58 hypertension cases(44.96%),42 hyperlipidemia cases(32.56%),20 coronary heart disease cases(15.50%)and 9 remaining cases(6.98%).The patients′age,disease course,family history and medication conditions of anti-psychotics for long-stay schizophrenia patients complicated with and without chronic cardiovascular diseases were significantly different(P<0.05).According to the Logistic regression analysis,it was known that the influence factors of chronic cardiovascular diseases included the age,disease course,family history and medication conditions of anti-psychotics(P<0.05).Conclusion The morbidity for long-stay schizophrenia patients is significantly higher than that of the common people.The influence factors of old age,long disease course,family history and long-term medication of anti-psychotics can increase the incidence rate of chronic cardiovascular diseases.
