Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of self-managed health education in patients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA).Methods Ninety RA patients admitted to our hospital from January 2015 to December 2016 were selected as research objects, and were divided into study group and control group by random number table method, with 45 cases in each group. The study group received routine treatment and self-management health education intervention methods, while the control group received routine treatment and general guidance intervention methods.Seven self-management scores, joint swelling number(SJC),joint tenderness number(TJC),morning stiffness time and average grip strength of both hands,as well as the incidence of adverse events during hospitalization and one year follow-up were compared between the two groups after intervention (one year follow-up).Results The self-management scores of patients in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group after intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the average grip strength of the patients in the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the morning stiffness time was shorter than that of the control group, and SJC and TJC were significantly lower than that of the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the incidence of falls outside the hospital in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The self-management health education can significantly enhance the self-management consciousness of RA patients, improve the joint functional states of the whole body and reduce the incidence of adverse events, which is worth promoting.
