ObjectiveTo explore the effect of application of diabetes knowledge WeChat platform in the extended service of diabetes nursing.MethodsFrom March 2015 to April 2017,200 patients with diabetes in our hospital were selected as the research objects,and randomly divided into observation group and control group,100 cases in each group.The observation group received diabetes knowledge WeChat platform continuous nursing intervention,while the control group received routine discharge intervention.The self-management ability,blood glucose,hypoglycemia and hospitalization rate,disease awareness rate,medication compliance rate and intervention satisfaction rate were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe excellent rate of self-management ability in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P＜0.05).The fasting blood glucose and postprandial blood glucose in the observation group were better than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence and hospitalization rate of hypoglycemia in observation group were lower than those in control group (P＜0.05).The disease awareness rate,medication compliance rate and intervention satisfaction rate in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).ConclusionDiabetes knowledge WeChat platform has great effectiveness in extended service of diabetes nursing.It increases patients′selfmanagement ability,maintains blood glucose stability,decreases hypoglycemia and hospitalization rate,improves disease awareness and medication compliance and satisfaction rate,which should be widely popularized and applied.
