Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the distribution characteristics of upper extremities affected by diabetic peripheral nerve injury.Methods300 patients with diabetes treated in our hospital from March 2016 to May 2017 were selected and their data were analyzed.150 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were selected as the observation group.150 diabetic patients without peripheral neuropathy were selected as the control group. All patients were examined by electromyography/evoked potentiometry for the detection of sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV),sensory nerve conduction amplitude(SNAP),motor nerve conduction velocity(MCV),compound muscle action potential amplitude(CAMP)in the median nerve, radial nerve and ulnar nerve of upper extremities. The nerve conduction parameters were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe SCV and MCV of median nerve, radial nerve and ulnar nerve in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Different nerves were compared, the abnormal rates of median nerve, motor nerve and sensory nerve were higher than those of other nerves(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the abnormal rates of sensory nerve and motor nerve between the ulnar nerve and radial nerve (P>0.05).The sensory nerve, motor nerve, and median nerve were compared, and the abnormal rate of sensory nerve was higher than that of motor nerve, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of sensory nerve and motor nerve between the ulnar nerve and radial nerve (P>0.05).ConclusionThe nerve conduction in the patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy is significantly lower than that in the diabetic patients without peripheral neuropathy, and compared with the diabetic patients without peripheral neuropathy, the affected nerve of upper extremities and the affected median nerve are also the more severe.
