Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of nursing intervention on the correction of diet misunderstandings in middle-aged and elderly diabetic patients.MethodsA total of 50 middle-aged and elderly patients with diabetes mellitus were selected from February 2013 to February 2016 in our hospital.The patients were divided into observation group and control group randomly,25 cases in each group.Patients of the control group were given implement routine dietary intervention,patients of the observation group were given implement diet correction intervention.The effect of dietary care was compared between the two groups.ResultsAfter nursing intervention,the observation group had significantly better glycemic control than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of patients in the observation group who corrected bad dietary tendency and established correct eating habits was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe nursing intervention on middle-aged and elderly diabetic patients can effectively correct the errors of diet,reduce the incidence of related complications and effectively improve the quality of life of patients.
