Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of quality control circle(QCC)in newborns with venous indwelling needle. Methods From March 2018 to March 2019,103 children with intravenous indwelling needle puncture and infusion and 25 nursing staffs in Jiangmen People′s Hospital,Guangdong Province were selected as the control group, and routine nursing intervention was used;103 children with venous indwelling needle puncture and infusion in from April 2019 to April 2020 and 25 nursing staffs in Jiangmen People′s Hospital,Guangdong Province the same period were selected as the observation group, and QCC activity intervention was used. The incidence of phlebitis was observed and compared between the two groups.Seven days after the intervention, nurses′knowledge of venous indwelling needle was evaluated, and the family members′total satisfaction with nursing was investigated. Results The incidence of phlebitis in the observation group was 0.97%,which was lower than that in the control group(7.77%);the scores of vascular condition assessment was(22.15±2.03),the operation of venous indwelling needle was(22.32±2.01),the routine maintenance of venous indwelling needle was(22.37±2.21),prevention and nursing of complications was(22.52±2.23)and total score was(88.79±5.64)points,which was higher than those of the control group of(18.97±5.64),(20.18±2.02),(20.35±2.12),(20.28±2.16),(80.56±5.42)points,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing total satisfaction of family members was 97.09%,which was higher than 87.38% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion QCC activity intervention in venous indwelling needle neonatal application effect is good, can reduce the incidence of phlebitis, improve nursing staff on venous indwelling needle related knowledge, improve nursing satisfaction.
