Application of modified Y-type disposable venous blood sampling needle in clinical blood sampling

Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of modified Y-type disposable venous blood collection needle in clinical blood collection.Methods A total of 200 patients admitted to Jiujiang First People′s Hospital Jiangxi Province from November 2019 to June 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into two groups according to the lottery method, 100 cases in each group.The control group used a disposable venous blood collection needle to collect blood, and the observation group used a modified Y-type disposable venous blood collection needle to collect blood.The success rate, blood contamination rate, blood sample qualification rate and satisfaction degree of the two groups were compared.Results The success rates of one-time blood collection from the dorsal hand vein, the median cubital vein, and the vein in the observation group were (98.00%, 99.00%, 96.00%), which were higher than those of the control group of (91.00%, 92.00%, 88.00%), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05);the blood contamination rate of the observation group was 2.00%, lower than that of the control group for 9.00%, and the qualified rate of blood samples was 98.00%, higher than that of the control group 91.00%, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total satisfaction rate of blood sampling was 98.00%, higher than that of the control group for 90.00%, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The use of modified Y-type disposable venous blood sampling needle for blood sampling can reduce the blood contamination rate, improve the success rate of blood sampling, the qualified rate of blood samples and blood sampling satisfaction.
