Abstract:Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of thinprep cytologic test (TCT), human papillomavirus (HPV)combined with squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCCA) in cervical cancer and precancerous lesions. Methods A total of 65 patients with cervical cancer and 155 patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade Ⅲwho were admitted to Jiangmen Maternity and Child Health Hospital from November 2019 to November 2020 were retrospectively selected as the cervical cancer group and precancerous lesions group, respectively. Both groups were tested for TCT and HPVDNA, and fasting venous blood was drawn to determine their serum SCCA levels by chemiluminescence method. The detection rates of TCT, HPV-DNA, serum SCCA three tests and combined tests in the two groups were compared, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the three test methods alone and in combination in the diagnosis of cervical cancer were analyzed and compared. Results The detection rate of TCT, HPV-DNA, and serum SCCA in combination in the cervical cancer group was higher than that of individual examination and pairwise combined examinations, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the detection rate of three kinds of TCT, HPV-DNA and serum SCCA examination, alone and pairwise combined examination in the precancerous lesion group (P>0.05). The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of TCT, HPV-DNA and serum SCCA were 100.00%,77.42% and 84.09% respectively, and the sensitivity and accuracy of diagnosis were higher than those of single examination and pairwise combined examination. Conclusion The combined application of TCT, HPV and SCCA examination can improve the detection rate of cervical cancer and improve the accuracy of diagnosis of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions, which is worthy of clinical application.
