Abstract:Objective To explore the infection and genotype epidemiology of human papillomavirus (HPV) in women in Fuqing area of Fujian Province. Methods A total of 10 971 female cervical secretions screened in Fuqing City Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from July 2018 to December 2019 were collected, the HPV genotypes were detected by reverse spot hybridization, the infection rate was counted and the genotype distribution characteristics of lowrisk HPV and high-risk HPV were analyzed. Results In the 10 971 cases female cervical secretions,1 522 cases were positive, and the positive rate was 13.9%.Among them,1 096 cases were single type infection, accounting for 72.0% of the total positive results;426 cases were multiple types simultaneously infection, accounting for 28% of the total positive results, mainly single type infection. The high-risk HPV-52 was the most common (3.24%) genotype, followed by HPV-16(1.68%) and HPV-58(1.61%).Low-risk HPV-40(1.25%) was the most common genotype, followed by HPV-44(1.07%) and HPV-42(0.87%).Conclusion The positive rate of female HPV infection in Fuqing area of Fujian Province was high, with the genotype HPV-52,HPV-16 and HPV-58 in the top three, and the genotype distribution can be used as baseline data before mass vaccination HPV in Fuqing area of Fujian Province.
