Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of remote continuing nursing in recurrent respiratory infection(RRTI)in children to provide reference for reducing the recurrence rate of RRTI in children. Methods A total of 60 children with RRTI who were discharged from Pingxiang People′s Hospital in Jiangxi Province from August 2018 to August 2019 were selected by prospective randomized trial method, and divided into the control group(n=30)and the observation group(n=30)by the random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional RRTI continuing nursing, and the observation group was treated with remote continuing nursing on the basis of the control group, both with continuous intervention for 3 months. The nursing total satisfaction of the children′parents and their knowledge of disease were compared after 3 months of intervention. The recurrence rates and readmission rates were compared between the two groups after 1 year follow-up.Results The nursing satisfaction of parents in the observation group was higher than that of parents in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of parents′disease knowledge mastery in the observation group was higher than that of parents in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Follow up for 1 year, the recurrence rate and readmission rate of children in the observation group were lower than those of children in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Remote continuing nursing intervention can improve parents'satisfaction and disease knowledge mastery score, and reduce the incidence and readmission rate of children with RRTI,which is a relatively effective nursing scheme.
