Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of bone transfer technique in the treatment of infectious nonunion of large femoral shaft. Methods From October 2015 to October 2018,40 patients with massive infectious nonunion of femoral shaft in our hospital were selected and divided into the control group (n=20)and the study group (n=20)according to random number table method. The patients in the control group were treated with routine operation, and the patients in the study group were treated with bone transfer technique. The therapeutic effect, bleeding volume, operation time, hospitalization time and complication rate were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the study group was 95.00%,which was higher than that of the control group (65.00%),with significant difference (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the study group was 5.00%,which was lower than that in the control group(30.00%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The amount of bleeding in the study group was less than that in the control group, and the operation time and hospitalization time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The bone transfer technique is effective in the treatment of large segment of infectious nonunion of the femoral shaft. This technique can not only obtain ideal curative effect, but also reduce the operation time and the amount of bleeding, and prevent the occurrence of complications, make the patient recover better and faster.
