Abstract:Objective To study the effectiveness and safety of coronary intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging guide in the interventional therapy of severe calcification. Methods From January 2016 to January 2019,99 patients with severe calcification treated in our hospital and requiring coronary intervention were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into the coronary IVUS imaging group (the IVUS group,46 cases) and the routine coronary intervention group (the routine group,53 cases) according to whether to use IVUS during coronary intervention. IVUS was used in the IVUS group,IVUS was not used in the routine group. The success rate of stent implantation,the incidence of complications during operation and hospitalization after operation,and the follow-up results of major adverse cardiac events during hospitalization and after operation at one year were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The success rate of stent implantation in the IVUS group was higher than that in the routine group,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the incidence of complications during operation and hospitalization after operation (P>0.05). The follow-up results showed that the incidence of central colic and heart failure in the IVUS group after operation at one year were significantly lower than those in the routine group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion IVUS can improve the success rate of stent implantation and reduce the incidence of major clinical adverse cardiac events one year after operation,which has clinical significance in the interventional treatment of severe calcification of coronary artery.
