Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of cervical dilatation balloon in term pregnancy induction. Methods Fifty pregnant women undergoing term pregnancy induction from January 2016 to December 2017 were selected as subjects.By the random number table method, they were divided into the control group and the observation group, with 25 cases in each group. In the control group, a small dose of Oxytocin was used to induce labor by intravenous drip, and in the observation group, a cervical dilation balloon was used. The labor stage, neonatal Apgar score, and bleeding at 24 hours after surgery were compared between the two groups. In addition, Bishop′s cervical maturity score, the rates of vaginal delivery and cesarean delivery were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the first and total stages of labor were shorter than those in the control group, the neonatal Apgar score was higher than that in the control group, the amount of bleeding at 24 hours after delivery was less than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The vaginal delivery rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the cesarean delivery rate was lower than that in the control group, and Bishop′s cervical maturity score was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The use of cervical dilatation balloon in induction of labor in term pregnancy can reduce the cesarean section rate, significantly shorten the labor stage, and can greatly improve the vital signs of newborns. The effect is favorable, and it is worth popularizing and applying.
