Abstract:ObjectiveTo observe and analyze the influence of modified electroconvulsive therapy(MECT)on cognitive function in patients with schizophrenia.MethodsA total of 70 schizophrenic patients in Department of Psychiatry admitted into our hospital from January 2016 to January 2017 were selected as observation objects.By a random number table, they were evenly divided into control group and experimental group,35 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with a new antipsychotic medicine.Patients in the experimental group were treated with a new antipsychotic combined with MECT.The PANSS and RBANS scores before and after the treatment, trail making test A and B(TMT),and digit symbol test were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results The scores of PANSS in the experimental group were all improved and the improvement was better than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was great difference in RBANS scores, and the difference in the experimental group was superior to that in the control group(P<0.05).The time to finish TMT-A and-B in the two groups was shorter with fewer errors compared with that before treatment. The improvement in the experimental group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05).After treatment, the digit symbol test in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group, and the total score was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe combination of new antipsychotic drugs and MECT in the treatment of schizophrenic patients can obtain a favorable effect, which is worthy of promotion.
