Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of prenatal health education on mental health of primiparas during the process of high quality nursing.Methods A total of 86 primiparas delivered in our hospital from January 2015 to October 2016 were selected, and divided into research group (n=43) and control group (n=43) according to random number table method.Patients in control group were treated with high quality nursing, and patients in the research group were implemented pregnancy health education on the basis of high quality nursing.The scores of Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) of patients in two groups were observed before and after nursing intervention, and their anxieties at different gestational age were compared.Results The scores of HAMD and SDS of patients in two groups after nursing intervention were significantly lower than those before nursing, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The scores of HAMD and SDS of patients in research group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The detection rates of anxieties in research group in >32-38 weeks after pregnancy were significantly lower than that in control group (P<0.05).But there were no significant difference in the detection rates of anxieties in 16-32 weeks and >38-40 weeks after pregnancy (P>0.05).Conclusion The implementation of prenatal health education can effectively reduce the anxieties and depressions of primiparas, and improve their mental health.It is worth popularizing in clinical practice.
