Abstract:Objective To study the influence of accompany emotional nursing on depression,and to provide theoretical basis for reducing the prevalence of post-stroke depression.Methods 112 elderly stroke patients were chosed as the research object in our hospital from June 2016 to June 2017.They were randomly divided into study group and control group,according to random number table method,and there were 56 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with routine treatment and care.Besides the routine treatment and care,accompany emotional nursing intervention were given to the study group.Self-rating depression scale(SDS)was used to assess patient′s depression.Trait coping styles questionnaire(TCSQ)was used to evaluate the response of patients.Results There was no statistically significant difference between SDS scores in two groups before intervention(P>0.05).The SDS score in study groups after intervention was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of post-stroke depression in study group was lower than that in the control group and was statistically significant after intervention(P<0.05).The positive coping dimension and negative coping dimension score of TCSQ scale in study groups was lower than that in the control group and was statistically significant after intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion Accompany emotional nursing can reduce the occurrence of depression in elderly patients with stroke,and help them to adopt a positive coping style to face the disease.
