Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the effect of continuous nursing on improving the knowledge of hypoglycemia in middleaged and elderly patients with diabetes and the quality of life.Methods Forty middle-aged and elderly patients with diabetes diagnosed in our hospital from February 2014 to February 2016 were selected as the study subjects.continuous nursing measures were implemented after discharge.the knowledge of hypoglycemia and quality of life of patients before and after nursing intervention were compared six months later.Results After continuous nursing,the patients'understanding of the etiology,symptoms and response measures of hypoglycemia was significantly better than that before nursing,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After continuous nursing,the quality of life of patients was significantly better than that before nursing,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The continuous nursing care for middle-aged and elderly diabetic patients can improve the knowledge of hypoglycemia in middleaged and elderly diabetic patients,cultivate healthy life habits and improve the quality of life,which deserves to be used in clinical promotion.
