Abstract:Objective To study the safety and efficacy of different repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)in the treatment of negative symptoms of chronic schizophrenia. Methods 96 cases of chronic schizophrenic inpatients in our hospital from January 2014 to June 2015 were divided into 48 cases of true-stimulation group and 48 cases of pseudo-stimulation group, two groups were all in maintaining original kinds of drug therapy and dose based on received 2 weeks,10 Hz rTMS treatment, which controls stimulation by the left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex in true-stimulation,the pseudo-stimutation group was given the pseudo stimulation. The efficacy of positive and negative symptoms scale (PANSS)were assessed before and after treatment for 2 weeks. Results Two weeks after treatment, the two groups of PANSS score compared to the previous comparative treatment significantly reduced (P<0.05),compared to the pseudostimulation group,true-stimulation group decreased more significantly(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment, the total efficiency of the true-stimulation group was 85.42%,the total efficiency of the pseudo-stimulation group was 77.08%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with the original class of anti-psychotic drugs can significantly improve the negative symptoms of chronic schizophrenia, and with good security.
