Abstract:Objective To analyze the test results of event-related potential in three common mental disorders and their application in the diagnosis of mental diseases.Methods Cases of depression (n=43),schizophrenia(n=53),and chronic alcoholism (n=35)from outpatient clinics and inpatient department from January 2015 to April 2016 were given with event-related potential.The test results were compared with those from 35 healthy participants(control group).The test values of copular(Cz)and frontal(Fz)parts of mismatch negativity(MMN),information input(N1),information synthesis(N2),directional activity(P3a)and cognitive potentials(P3b)were compared.Results The delayed latency of Cz and Fz in MMN,N2,P3a and P3b in patients of depression,schizophrenia and chronic alcoholism was significantly longer than that in the healthy control group(MMN-Cz:t=9.15,8.78,10.9;MMN-Fz:t=10.91,8.51,10.25;N2-Cz:t=4.78, 6.26,4.01;N2-Fz:t=4.26,4.65,3.97;P3a-Cz:t=8.76,8.52,6.39;P3a-Fz:t=9.30,8.77,6.47;P3b-Cz:t=10.46,11.89,8.13; P3b-Fz:t=9.45,10.37,8.36,P=0.000).The delay of latent period for N1-Cz electrode in depression group was shorter than that in schizophrenia group(t=2.77,P<0.05).The delay of latent period for N2-Cz electrode in chronic alcoholism group was longer than that in schizophrenia group and depression group(t=2.16,2.73,P<0.05).In the chronic alcoholism group,the delay of latent period for P3a-Fz electrode was longer than that in schizoph-renia group and depression group (t=8.45,8.54,P<0.01),and the delay of latent period for P3b-Fz electrode was longer than that in depression group(t=2.61,P<0.05).P300 latency prolonged grade distribution:depression took the majorityof being mild to moderate prolonged,and schizophrenia and chronic alcoholism were in the major of severe prolonging with statistical differences (u=4.50,2.74;P<0.01,0.05).Years of drinking in chronic alcoholism patients has a high positive correlation with P3a,P3b-Cz,Fz(r=0.727,0.752,0.734,0.578,P<0.01).Conclusion There is a significant delay in the occurrence of MMN in patients with depression.Compared with schizophrenia,sensitization of sensory information input occurs in depression.There are delay of latent period in information synthesis,directional activity,and cognitive potential to certain degrees in depression,schizophrenia and chronic alcoholism.Among them,conditions in depression is relatively mild,while more severe in chronic alcoholism and schizophrenia.Especially,cognition damage in the frontal lobe of advanced center is most severe.Years of drinking has a remarkable influence on the delay of event-related potentials in patients with chronic alcoholism.
