Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the diagnosis value of transvaginal ultrasonography and hysteroscopy in abnormal uterine bleeding after menopause.MethodsAltogether 120 patients with perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding who were treated in the hospital between September 2014 to May 2016 were selected to compare the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of application of transvaginal ultrasound, hysteroscopy and transvaginal ultrasound plus hysteroscopy in the diagnosis of perimenopausal abnormal uterine bleeding.ResultsThe sensitivity, specificity and accuracy by using transvaginal ultrasound examinations of abnormal uterine bleeding were 84.00%,90.00%and 87.50%;the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy by using hysteroscopy were 86.00%,87.14%and 86.67%;the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy by using the combination of transvaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy were 98.00%,97.14%and 97.50%,which was higher than that of single transvaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy examination, with significant difference (P<0.05).ConclusionTransvaginal ultrasound and hysteroscopy have high sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in the diagnosis of postmenopausal uterine bleeding with minor differences, and are complementary to each other.Combination of two examination methods can provide the clinical basis of imaging and morphology,as a result of which it has high diagnostic effectiveness clinically.
