Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of vaginal uterine artery descending branch ligation combined with Carboprost Tromethamine Injection (Hemabate) in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. Methods A total of 40 patients with postpartum hemorrhage who gave birth in Ganzhou People′s Hospital from January 2019 to March 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, with 20 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were treated with Oxytocin and Carboprost Tromethamine Injection, while patients in the observation group were treated with Carboprost Tromethamine Injection and vaginal uterine artery descending branch ligation. The postpartum hemorrhage volume, postpartum recovery index and incidence of adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The postpartum hemorrhage volume at 2 and 24 h after delivery of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the postpartum lochia time, postpartum menstrual volume and postpartum menstrual cycle between the two groups (P>0.05).The hemostasis time and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The hysterectomy rate (5.00%) and the incidence rate of puerperal disease (10.00%) of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (30.00%, 40.00%), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Transvaginal uterine artery descending branch ligation combined with Carboprost Tromethamine Injection is effective in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage, which is worthy of promotion.
