Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application effect of Caffeine Citrate in premature infants and its influence on lung function of infants. Methods From July 2019 to December 2020, 60 patients with premature infants from the First People′s Hospital of Nankang District of Ganzhou City were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into the control group and the observation group using the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Aminophylline, and the observation group was treated with Caffeine Citrate. The pulmonary function indexes before and after treatment, ventilator-assisted ventilation time, the incidence of severe apnea of prematurity (AOP), bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) and curative effect were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the pulmonary function indexes between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, the respiratory frequency, ventilation per minute and tidal volume of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The ventilator-assisted ventilation time of children in the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the incidence rates of severe AOP and BPD of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effectiveness rate of treatment for children in the observation group was 93.33%, which was higher than that of the control group accounting for 73.33%, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Caffeine Citrate therapy is effective in premature infants and can improve pulmonary function, it is recommended to choose in preference.
