Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of continuous nursing in school-age children with asthma. Methods A total of 70 school-age children with asthma admitted to the Yichun Second People's Hospital from September 2019 to September 2020 were selected. They were divided into the control group (35 cases) and the observation group (35 cases) using random number table method. All children were given basic treatment such as anti-infection, oxygen inhalation, antispasmodic, and anti-asthmatic after admission. The treatment was continued for 14 days. The control group was given conventional health education and nursing, and the observation group was given continuous nursing continuously for 3 months. The treatment compliance and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The total compliance in the observation group was 94.29%, which was higher than that in the control group as 77.14%, with statistical significant difference (P<0.05). Before intervention, there was no statistically significant difference in summary health status survey (SF-36) score between the two groups (P>0.05). After intervention, the SF-36 scores in the two groups were higher than those before intervention, the SF-36 score in the observation group was(81.64±6.78) points, which was higher than that in the control group of (74.36±6.31) points, with statistical differences(P<0.05). Conclusion Continuous nursing can improve the treatment compliance and quality of life in school-age children with asthma. It is worthy of promotion and application.
