Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of risk management on the occurrence of adverse events in elderly patients with indwelling intravenous infusion.Methods A total of 82 elderly patients who underwent intravenous infusion in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from January to December 2019 were selected and divided into two groups according to random number table method,41 cases in each group.The control group was given routine management nursing mode intervention,and the observation group was given risk management nursing mode intervention,both were intervened for 7 days.The occurrence of adverse events and nursing satisfaction during the intervention period of the two groups were compared.Results During the intervention period,the incidence of indwelling needle shedding,hematoma,fluid leakage,phlebitis,indwelling needle blockage,and needle blood clotting in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Risk management and nursing mode intervention can reduce the occurrence of adverse events in elderly patients with indwelling intravenous infusion and improve nursing satisfaction.
