Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of continuation care based on Omaha system in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods From October 2018 to October 2020, 60 patients with RA admitted to Pingxiang People′s Hospital, Jiangxi Province were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method, 30 cases in each group. The control group took routine continuation care, and the observation group used the continuation care model constructed by the Omaha system. The clinical efficacy and nursing satisfaction of the two groups were compared, self-care ability, health behavior compliance, functional status, and quality of life before and at 3 months of intervention. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 93.33%, which was higher than that of (73.33%) in the control group. After the intervention, ESCA was (96.85±6.05) points, health behavior compliance was (70.95±3.37) points, HAQ was (34.72±3.26) points, quality of life was(68.98±5.13)points,which were higher than those of the control group′s (76.63±6.02), (56.69±3.42), (25.67±3.24), (53.74±5.01) points, and the total nursing satisfaction was 93.33%, which was higher than that of the control group 70.00%,there were astatistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Continuing care based on the Omaha system can improve the clinical efficacy of RA patients, enhance the patients′self-care ability and health behavior compliance, promote the improvement of functional status and quality of life, and help improve nursing satisfaction.
