Abstract:Objective To explore the value of daily life ability(ADL)training intervention in elderly patients with maintenance hemodialysis(MHD).Methods A total of 64 elderly patients with MHD admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Gansu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to January 2021 were selected, and divided into the control group(32 cases)and the observation group(32 cases)according to random number table method. The control group used routine care,ADL ability training intervention was used in the observation group. The negative emotion(self-rating depression scale[SDS],self-care ability Barther index[BI]),nursing satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. Results Before the intervention, the differences in SDS,BI scores of two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05).After the intervention,SDS score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,BI score was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The nursing total satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion ADL ability training intervention can reduce depression in elderly patients with MHD,improve their ability to take care of themselves, reduce complications, improve nursing satisfaction.
