Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of scenario simulation training in orthopaedic nursing safety management. Methods A total of 65 patients and 23 nurses in the same period in the 910 Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Department of the People′s Liberation Army from July 2019 to July 2020 were selected as the control group, and 65 patients and 23 nurses in the same period in the 910 Hospital of the Joint Logistics Support Department of the People′s Liberation Army from August 2020 to August 2021 were selected as the observation group. The training effect, nursing staff work quality, incidence of adverse events and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The scores of safety awareness, technical proficiency, demand resolution and communication effects in the training effect of nursing staff in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The scores of drainage tube nursing, posture nursing, medication nursing, and pain nursing in the nursing work quality of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse events in the observation group was 3.08%, which was lower than 12.31% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The service attitude, operating technique, condition observation, and patient safety scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of scenario simulation training in orthopedic nursing safety management can improve the training effect, promote the improvement of nursing quality, reduce the occurrence of adverse events and promote the improvement of nursing satisfaction.
