Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of key-key way precision attachment denture in the treatment of posterior dental dissociation loss. Methods A total of 96 patients with posterior dental dissociation loss admitted to the Third People′s Hospital of Dalian City from January 2017 to September 2018 were selected as study subjects, and were divided into control group (48 cases) and study group (48 cases) by random number table method. Patients in the control group were treated with conventional method, while patients in the study group were treated with key-key way precision attachment denture. Both groups were treated for 2 weeks consecutively. The periodontal exploration depth, gingival index, retention force, masticatory function, satisfaction rate of denture, and repair failure were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in the periodontal exploration depth, gingival index, retention force, masticatory function between the two groups on the first wear (P>0.05). After wearing for 1 year, there was no statistically significant difference in the periodontal exploration depth between the two groups (P>0.05). After wearing for 1 year, gingival index of the study group was lower than that of the control group, retention force and masticatory function were higher than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in the periodontal exploration depth after wearing for 1 year and on the first wear (P>0.05). The gingival index and masticatory function of the two groups after wearing for 1 year were higher than those on the first wear, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The retention force of patients in the two groups after wearing for 1 year was lower than that on the first wear, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The total satisfaction rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no patients with repair failure in study group and control group. Conclusion In the treatment of posterior dental dissociation loss, the therapeutic effect of key-key way precision attachment denture is obvious, which is worth applying.
