Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of flipped classroom teaching mode based on medical popular science video ShenDu-Video in geriatrics course teaching. Methods A total of 247 students from the 2018 clinical class of Jiangxi Medical College were selected as the research objects and divided into the experimental group (125 students) and the control group (122 students) according to class. The experimental group adopted the flipped classroom teaching mode based on ShenDu-Video, while the control group adopted the traditional teaching mode. The theory test scores of the two groups and the students′ satisfaction of the experimental group were compared. Results The scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The proportion of students in the experimental group who approved all aspects of the flipped classroom teaching mode based on ShenDu-Video were higher than the proportion of students who did not approve. Conclusion The flipped classroom teaching model based on ShenDu-Video is applied to geriatric medicine teaching, which can improve students′ theoretical performance, interest and ability in learning.
