Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of free inguinal skin flap in repairing foot and ankle soft tissue defects. Methods Forty patients with soft tissue defects of the ankle and foot treated in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2018 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into experimental group (20 cases) and control group (20 cases) according to the random number table method. The experimental group used the free inguinal skin flap repair method, and the control group used the sural neurotrophic pedicled skin flap repair method. The total incidence of complications and the rate of plastic surgery 3-6 months after operation were compared between the two groups, and the typical cases were analyzed. Results The total incidence of postoperative complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The plastic surgery rate in the experimental group 3 to 6 months after surgery was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with pedicled flaps, free inguinal skin flap can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications when repairing skin defects in the feet and ankles. The appearance of the flaps is satisfactory, and secondary plastic surgery is not required. It has a good development prospect.
