Abstract:Objective To explore the changes of pulmonary function in infants with pertussis syndrome before and after treatment. Methods A total of 63 cases of pertussis syndrome in our hospital from June 2018 to November 2019 were selected as the treatment group, and 52 cases of healthy infants who had physical examination in the outpatient department were selected as the control group. The lung function level of the control group and the treatment group before and after treatment were compared and the therapeutic effect of the treatment group was analyzed. Results Before treatment, the respiratory rate (RR) of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the tidal volume (VT),inspiratory/expiratory ratio (Ti/TE),peak volume ratio (VPTEF/VE),and peak time ratio (TPTEF/TE) were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P <0.05); after treatment,RR,VT,Ti/TE,VPTEF/VE and TPTEF/TE of the treatment group were (24.98±0.21) times/min,(8.76±0.16) ml/kg,(0.81±0.13)%,(27.78±8.34)%,(38.84±7.32)%,respectively,before treatment for (28.56±5.64) time/min,(5.32±1.22) ml/kg,(0.70±0.10)%,(21.49±5.38)%,(21.88±6.69)%,RR in the treatment group was lower than that before treatment,VT,Ti/TE,VPTEF/VE and TPTEF/TE were higher than those before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). All 25 cases were cured (39.68%),18 cases were effective (28.57%),14 cases were effective (22.22%),3 cases were ineffective (4.76%). The effective rate was 95.24% (60/63). Conclusion The lung function of pertussis syndrome in infants is damaged. The detection of lung function can evaluate the condition of children, guide the treatment and improve the condition.
