Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of Azithromycin combined with Cefotaxime Sodium on pulmonary function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods One hundred patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted to Shekou People′s Hospital from April 2017 to April 2018 were selected as the subjects of this study, and were divided into the control group(n=50)and the study group(n=50)by random lottery. The control group was treated with conventional basic treatment, while the study group was treated with Azithromycin combined with Cefotaxime Sodium. The lung function indexes before and after treatment, the clinical symptom scores before and after treatment, and the clinical treatment effect were compared between the two groups. Results Before treatment, there were no significant differences in the forced vital capacity(FVC),maximum ventilator volume(MVV),and forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1)between the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the FVC of patients of the study group was(2.40±0.45)L,the MVV was(88.95±2.65)L/min,and the FEV1 was(1.88±0.13)L,which were higher than those in the control group([2.15±0.20]L,[80.10±1.15]L/min,[1.40±0.35]L),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the scores of chronic cough and expectoration, shortness of breath, wheezing chest tightness, and fatigue and weight loss between the two groups(P>0.05).The score of chronic cough and expectoration after treatment was(1.18±0.07)points,the score of shortness of breath after treatment was(1.05±0.01)points,the score of wheezing chest tightness after treatment was(1.18±0.06)points,and the score of fatigue and weight loss after treatmentwas(1.38±0.04)points in the study group, all lower than those in the control group([1.85±0.05],[2.21±0.05],[2.03±0.07],[1.96±0.07]points),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate was 96.00%in the study group, which was higher than that in the control group accounting for 76.00%(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of Azithromycin combined with Cefotaxime Sodium in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ismore effective, can effectively improve the lung function index and symptom index, and has important clinical application value.
