Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of cerebellar fastigial nucleus electrical stimulation treating chronic subjective dizziness. Methods Fifty-eight patients with chronic subjective dizziness treated in our hospital from November 2018 to December 2019 were enrolled in the study as subjects.They were divided into the study group (n=29) and the control group (n=29) according to the random number table method.Conventional antidepressant treatment was performed in the control group and the study group was given cerebellar fastigial nucleus electrical stimulation based on the above measures.And all the patients in the study were assessed by dizziness handicap inventory (DHI)and hospital anxiety and depression scale (HADS). Results There were no significant differences between the two groups in any of the assessments before treatment (P>0.05).After 30 days of treatment, the HADS score, scores of DHI total index, body, function, emotion in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After 30 days, the HADS score, scores of DHI total index, body, function, emotion in the study group were lower than those of control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion On the basis of conventional antidepressant drugs, combined with cerebellar crest nuclear stimulation therapy may be more beneficial to improving the dizziness symptoms of patients with chronic subjective dizziness, and can effectively improve the symptoms of anxiety and depression.
