Abstract:Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of Fluoxetine combined with Olanzapine in the treatment of depression with somatic symptoms. Methods Sixty-two patients with depression with physical symptoms who were treated in our hospital from February 2016 to October 2018 were enrolled. The patients were divided into observation group(n=31) and control group (n=31) according to the random number table method. The observation group was treated with Fluoxetine plus Olanzapine, the control group was treated with Fluoxetine alone, and both groups were treated continuously for 8 weeks. Before treatment and at the 2nd, 4th and 8th week of treatment, the Hamilton depression scale(HAMD) and somatic symptom severity scale (PHQ) were used to evaluate the effect. The treatment emergent symptom scale (TESS) was used to evaluate adverse reactions. Results The HAMD and PHQ scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at the 2nd, 4th and 8th week of treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in TESS score between the two groups (P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.77%, which was higher than that of the control group (80.64%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of Fluoxetine combined with Olanzapine in the treatment of depression with somatic symptoms is better than that of Fluoxetine alone, and it takes effect quickly in good safety.
