Application effect of Huatan Tiaojing Decoction combined with Western medicine therapy in polycystic ovary syndrome with kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness syndrome

Abstract：Objective To investigate the application effect of Huatan Tiaojing Decoction combined with Western medicine therapy in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) with kidney deficiency and phlegm-dampness syndrome.Methods A total of 70 patients with PCOS who visited our hospital from March 2017 to June 2019 were divided into two groups according to random number table method, 35 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Ethinylestradiol Cyproterone Tablets, and the test group was treated with Huatan Tiaojing Decoction based on the control group.The clinical effect, sex hormone level, polycystic change of ovary and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the experimental group was 94.29%, which was higher than that of control group (74.29%), the difference was statistically significant (P＜0.05).The traditional Chinese medicine score of the experimental group was (4.13±1.21) points, which was lower than that of the control group for (8.36±2.27) points (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the level of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) between the two groups after treatment (P＞0.05).The level of estradiol (E2) in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, while the levels of luteinizing hormone (LH) and testosterone (T) in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P＜0.05).No significant adverse reactions were observed in the two groups. Conclusion The treatment of PCOS patients with oral Huatan Tiaojing Decoction combined with Western medicine is safe, can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and signs of patients, regulate hormone levels, promote the recovery of the disease, it is worth clinical promotion.
