Abstract:Objective To investigate the correlation of calcification factors of radial artery in uremia patients. Methods From January 2015 to December 2016,60 cases of uremic patients treated in our hospital were selected as the research objects. The von Kossa staining for radial artery blood vessel, and X-ray film for both hands and pelvis was photographed. The vascular calcification score was calculated, blood pressure indexes were measured, blood biochemical indexes such as phosphorus and calcium were detected, and the level of whole parathyroid hormone was detected, and the correlation of vascular calcification was analyzed. Results In this study,a total of 29 patients developed radial artery calcification, accounted for 48.33%.The serum phosphorus, calcium phosphate product, alkaline phosphatase, parathyroid hormone, vascular calcification rate and vascular calcification score of the patients with radial artery calcification were all higher than those patients without radial artery calcification, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in age, gender, serum total calcium and serum creatinine between patients with and without radial artery calcification (P>0.05).Vascular calcification was taken as the dependent variable, and the results of multiple linear regression suggested that there were positive correlation between high level of serum phosphorus, total parathyroid hormone vascular calcification rate, alkaline phosphatase calcium phosphate product and the formation of vascular calcification (r=0.503,0.281,0.519,0.542,0.451,P<0.05).Conclusion Calcification of the radial artery is common in uremic patients, and there is a significant correlation between serum phosphorus, vascular calcification rate, alkaline phosphatase and calcium phosphorus product and the formation of calcification of the radial artery in uremic patients.
