Abstract:Objective To analyze the risk factors of PICC-related venous thrombosis of upper extremities in patients with tumor chemotherapy. Methods A total of 200 cases of cancer patients treated with chemotherapy in our hospital from February 10,2015 to May 10,2016 were selected as the research objects.According to the occurrence of upper extremity venous thrombosis, they were divided into observation group (with upper extremity venous thrombosis) and control group (without upper extremity venous thrombosis),100 cases in each group. The influencing factors of two groups of patients were analyzed. Results There were significant differences in age, history of venous thrombosis, chronic renal insufficiency, anticoagulant drugs, time of chemotherapy and fluid replacement,D-Dimer (D-D) level before catheterization between the two groups (P<0.05);Logistic regression analysis showed that age >60 years old, history of venous thrombosis, chronic renal insufficiency, and increased D-D level before catheterization were risk factors for PICC-related upper extremity venous thrombosis (P<0.05).Conclusion The risk factors for PICC-related upper extremity venous thrombosis in tumor chemotherapy patients are age >60 years old, history of venous thrombosis, chronic renal insufficiency, and increased D-D level before catheterization,to prevention and treatment measures for these factors can significantly reduce the incidence of venous thrombosis and ensure patient safety.
